Original Paintings

Each original painting is a unique, handmade work of art. We take great care in describing and photographing our pieces accurately, and we want you to feel confident in your purchase.

Your Right to Cancel (UK Consumers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you purchased an original painting online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. You then have a further 14 days to return the work to us.

To cancel, please contact us at info@terraandbloom.com with your name, order details, and a brief note that you wish to cancel.

Please note: This cancellation right does not apply to works that have been made to order or personalised specifically for you (including bespoke commissions — see below).

Condition of Returns

Returned works must be:

  • In their original condition, unframed if supplied unframed, and undamaged

  • Securely packaged to the same standard in which they were received

We recommend using tracked and insured postage. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We cannot accept liability for works damaged or lost in transit on return.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned work, we will process a full refund — including the original outbound shipping cost — within 14 days, using your original payment method.

If a work is returned in a damaged or altered condition, we reserve the right to deduct an amount reflecting the loss in value.

Commissions

Commissioned works are created specifically for you and are therefore exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Before work begins, we will agree on the subject, size, medium, and price. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to begin a commission. The remaining balance is due upon completion, before the work is dispatched.

If you wish to cancel a commission after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. If the work is already complete, the full balance may be due.

We will keep you updated throughout the process and welcome feedback at agreed review stages.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@terraandbloom.com, with photographs of the damage and packaging. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund as appropriate — at no cost to you.

Prints

Prints must be returned in original, undamaged condition within 14 days of receipt. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility unless the item is faulty.
